Dude was like a big brother to me. I will never forget his kindness and thoughtfulness. A TRUE FAMILY MAN. I WILL SURELY MISS the best friend I ever had.

“Dude” was my best friend and mentor in Louisville from 1968-74. My favorite memory was attending the pilot taping in 1968 along with Johnny Randolph of a thing called “ music television “ at WHBQ in Memphis. Produced by Bob Whitney, it was the live pilot for MTV. Taping in secrecy all night with some of the most important musicians in history, and everyone having breakfast with Elvis at Graceland.
