Lots of stations ran reel-to-reel “Maggies” (Magnecorders) just before cart machines became popular. This looks like the PT-6A line, of which there appear to be at least 3 in the back. Some of them were half-track and some of them were full-track. Stations would put spots and jingles on 3” reels of tape. Jocks would be busily rewinding played tapes, put them away, and thread the next elements….all in the space of a 2-1/2’ record (in addition to cueing the next one of those up). Does anyone know regarding Bill Diehl: Is this the Minnesota Bill Diehl, or is this the ABC News Bill Diehl?
