I thought I'd share this period piece with everyone. This picture was taken at the Le Sourdesville Lake amusement park near Hamilton, Ohio in 1962. That's WING's Bob Holliday behind the 45 RPM records with me behind him. Up front on the microphone is Bobby Vee probably doing "Rubber Ball." He is being back up by Dayton's favorite local band at the time, Teddy & the Rough Riders. To Bobby's left, standing against the wall in the dark suit is legendary former Lubbock, Texas disc jockey turned record producer for Liberty Records, Snuff Garrett. Snuff produced Vee, Gary Lewis & the Playboys, Johnny Burnett & Cher just to name a few. He's now retired and living on his ranch in Sonoita, Arizona south of Tucson. My computer guy is also Snuff's computer and goes to his house frequently. I guess his home is a filled with some incredible rock and roll memorabelia.
