Steve (Dave) call Dallas please !!!dallas

That rotary pot board reminds me of our Western Director of Engineering, who didn't believe in slider pots. (Anachronistic thinking?) Even when we got a new board, it was rotary--long into the days of sliders. (BTW, Rick Dees will only use rotaries.) That same new board didn't have mix-minus, either. Live remotes with PA were not fun! So glad I stayed in the business to use all digital equipment at CBS Radio Wilshire Broadcast Center including boards, now called "control surfaces" since the actual work--level up and down, mic and other channels on and off, and everything else--is done in the server room. I felt I was like a 777 pilot in front of the great Sierra/SAS Rubicon" control surface." It could do anything. Only negative was LEDs instead of VUs or even monitor screen for levels. Wheatstone has much better visual monitoring.
